Privacy Policy

Last updated October 28, 2026

This policy explains what Hometown Consult collects when you use hometownconsult.com, how we use it, and who we share it with.

The short version: we use your answers and contact details to set up the consultation you asked for, and we share them with the law firm that serves your area so it can hold that consultation. We don't sell your information, and we never share your phone number with anyone for their own marketing.

What we collect

  • Your answers to our questions, like whether you're 55 or older or planning for a parent, your rough home equity and savings, when you want to get this done, and your state.
  • Your name, email and phone number.
  • A record of what you agreed to, including the exact words, the time, and the internet address and browser you used.
  • Recordings and notes from our calls with you, and the texts we send each other.
  • How you found us, like the ad or link you clicked.

How we use it

  • To check whether you qualify for a free consultation.
  • To call and text you about your consultation, including confirmations, reminders and changes to your appointment.
  • To book your consultation on the calendar of the law firm that serves your area.
  • To check the quality of our calls, settle any question about an appointment, and follow the law.
  • To learn which of our ads work.

Who we share it with

  • The law firm that serves your area. It gets your name, contact details, answers and appointment time so it can hold your consultation. Once you meet with the firm, its own privacy policy covers what it does with your information.
  • Companies that help us run this service, like the ones that host our website, store our records, and place our calls and texts. They can only use your information to do that work for us.
  • Anyone the law requires us to share it with, like a court with a valid order.

We don't sell your personal information. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Calls and texts

If you agree, we call you about your consultation, sometimes with an automatic dialing system or an AI voice. We record our calls, and we tell you so at the start of every call.

If you check the box for texts, we text you about your consultation. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop them, or HELP for help.

To stop our calls, tell us on any call or email hello@hometownconsult.com, and we'll stop.

How long we keep it

We keep your information as long as we need it to set up your consultation and run our business. We keep the record of what you agreed to for at least five years, because questions about calls and texts can come up years later. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, and we will unless the law requires us to keep it.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to fix it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@hometownconsult.com and we'll take care of it.

Children

This service is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Keeping it safe

We protect your information with reasonable safeguards, like encrypted connections and limits on who can see it. No system is perfect, so we can't promise it's completely secure.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new date.
